Allyson Robinson

Portfolio Lead, Cook Ross

Speaker Bio

Allyson Dylan Robinson built her career advising and leading organizations on the vanguard of social change. Prior to joining Cook Ross, she led internal and external diversity initiatives at the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization. While there, she built and managed HRC’s program to train large organizations in LGBT inclusion and served as the organization’s public face on some of its most challenging issues. She went on to found her own company, Warrior Poet Strategies, which advised clients in the private sector and in government on organizational development, culture and climate, and diversity and inclusion. Allyson began her career as an Army officer, commanding PATRIOT missile units in Europe and the Middle East and managing military learning and development staff across the Middle East theater of operations. She has spent almost half of her professional life living and working outside the U.S.

Allyson is a 1994 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where she majored in physics. She studied the cultural impact of religious diversity at Oxford University, and holds a Master’s degree from Baylor University. She has been honored by Harvard Law School and West Point for her leadership, and is a frequent cable news guest as a subject matter expert in diversity and inclusion.
