PR327928 - Like for Like: Recognizing How to Apply e-Discovery Toolsets Beyond Litigation

Session Speakers
Session Description

e-Discovery professionals have often commented on the potential to apply the traditional e-discovery toolset to challenges posed by other unstructured data problems. In the right hands and with the right subject matter expertise, a flexible and extensible e-discovery platform can solve a variety of challenges you and your clients face. Using several real-life examples, this session will teach you how to recognize “like for like” opportunities by breaking down a data problem, identifying the components for a possible solution, and applying your e-discovery toolset and Relativity’s extensible platform to deliver a workflow. We’ll use real-world use cases as jumping-off points—such as DSARs, FOIA, anonymization, and internal investigations—and walk through how to break down each problem into component parts, align the steps with the tools you already have in your toolset, and recognize any required customization. You’ll hear how this approach delivered results for two real-life matters and share in lessons learned. Finally, you’ll be given a framework for recognizing your own “like for like” opportunities. How can you spot ‘beyond e-discovery’ pain points in the real world? How can you solve them with a combination of platform and subject-matter expertise? Join us to find out.
